Hose Assembly course
– Rubber Hydraulics

A (basic/foundation) course in assembly and pressing of rubber hydraulic hoses. The course emphasizes the proper selection, application and installation of fittings and hoses according to industry standards and requirements. There will be a thorough review of different types of hoses and couplings. Furthermore, the course will be focused on the identification of thread types and practical training in hose pressing. After completing the course, participants will have learnt a work process that ensures that the hose is pushed in a competent, professional and timely manner.

The course is conducted in accordance with guidelines from the Energy Institute - «Guidelines for the management of flexible hose assemblies», and Statoil standard TR1803.
 

Iron/Chiksan course for
Mechanics and Operators

The course provides an in depth training in the proper use, safe handling and maintenance of purchased or rented Chiksan products from Fluid Control.

Course content:
  • Use and working instruction of Iron/Chiksan
  • Security and safe use of equipment
  • Pressure testing of Chiksan lines
  • Iron/Chiksan alarms/hazards
  • Practical training
  • Relevant products training
  • Unions
  • Integrated hammer union bend, tee, x-over and lateral
  • Plug valves, check valves, choke valves, swivel and safety valve
  • Manifolds
  • Flow Line Safety Restraint System.
  • Seal rings

A course for personnel maintains chiksan equipment. The course is conducted in accordance with NORSOK standards and SPM recommendations.

Hoses and Couplings

The course highlights the correct selection, application and installation according to industry standards and requirements. Hands on work with identifying thread types. 

After completed course the candidates will have attained knowledge of a correct and safe working practice according to industry requirements. 

The course is conducted in accordance with guidelines from the Energy Institute - «Guidelines for the management of flexible hose assemblies», and Statoil standard TR1803.
 

Best Practice Flexible Hoses

The purpose of this course is to assist operators of offshore installations, drilling facilities and onshore plants with the management of Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHAs) through provisions of controls and procedures that are necessary to ensure continued integrity throughout their lifecycle from manufacture through to decommissioning. The course will be of use to managers, design engineers, operators, technicians, contractors and inspectors. 
 

Crash Course Hose Awareness

The crash course is an awareness course in relation to maintenance and hose installation. The course will be given to operators offshore as a part of HM.
