5 Year Weatherford Contract awarded to FC.
Service company Fluid Control AS has secured an important five year frame agreement for the execution of a vendor managed inventory (VMI) contract by Weatherford.
The Company will assume responsibility for replenishment of hydraulic hoses, hose assemblies, hydraulic adaptors, fittings and other critical products for the Weatherford workshop and warehouse at Forus. Fluid Control will appoint a dedicated on site inventory management specialist to monitor inventory levels and manage the replacement process.
It’s a flexible solution that dramatically reduces purchasing and re-supply costs, eliminate stock-outs, and allows Weatherford to be more efficient by not tie-ing up cash in excess inventory. The VMI contract will leverage the significant scale of Weatherford’s hydraulic hose operations through application of a Kanban system and in delivering improved part availability.
In addition, FC shall provide hose assembly equipment including swaging /crimping modules, cutting machines and other accessories. The company shall also ensure that Weatherford staff are fully trained in the utilization of production equipment, various hydraulic hose assembly techniques and will provide in-house support for Weatherford.
Fluid Control’s Business Development Manager Christian Hana, said: ‘This was our first time working with Weatherford on a vendor managed inventory service contract and we were delighted at being given the opportunity to demonstrate the value of this service.

Most hose assemblies will be managed at Weatherford facilities. Hoses above 1" and special hoses shall be assembled at the Fluid Control Sola workshop.
